At Shore Rentals, we aim to make the car rental experience as enjoyable and efficient as possible. Collecting your hired vehicle from us is easy, once you have booked your rental car online or over the phone, make your way to us at 1 Barrys Point Road, in Takapuna on Auckland’s North Shore. We are sign posted and located in the underground car park between the Pet shop and Mobil, sharing an office with Takapuna Car Clinic. What Do I Need to Bring to the Car Rental Collection?
We need a couple of things from you before we hand over the keys to your rental car. Firstly, upon collection, you are required to present a full, valid drivers’ licence in English (If your drivers’ licence is not in English, we will need to see an official English translation). In addition, please ensure that any other drivers present their full licence to us before taking the car.
Secondly, please ensure you have a valid Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) in your name, as you will be required to pay a bond. A $300 NZD minimum pre-authorisation will be taken on your credit card at the time of pick up as well as the cost of your car and any insurance or extras if you have not pre-paid for them beforehand.
Can I Make Changes to My Booking?
You can make changes to your booking even at the time of collection, and we will try our very best to accommodate you. However, please note during the High Season (New Zealand Summer – December-February and during school holidays).
